McQ is a sub label of Alexander McQueen 'not a diffusion line, as many have described it, but a parallel label. More directional and fearless than the main brand, this McQ represents some of the label's most uncompromising designs although the signature McQueen tailoring and archive styles from the label's past appear fairly frequently. McQ was established to capture the spirit of the designer behind the brand, which is why its aesthetic is creative, defiant and dynamic. The clothing line from McQ by Alexander McQueen is edgy and cool, from the zipped pockets on the sweatshirts through to the black leather shorts. Floral trims on tuxedos take no prisoners, abstract prints make no apology and the colour palette subdues critics with monochrome and then kicks off with sudden splashes of colour.
