Jean Paul Gaultier started developing his designs at the age of 13, following his fascination with his grandmothers corsets. Sending sketches to Pierre Cardin at 18, he was invited to work at the fashion house and this was his first formal training in ready-to-wear. His range of belts take inspiration from corsets, coming in wide, lace-up and caged designs. Also offering a range of skinny belts, self-tie styles and obi belts, the designer's diverse inspiration is easy to see.
