Elie Tahari was born in Jerusalem in 1952 to Jewish parents. After moving to New York as a young man, Tahari worked in various department stores before going on to open his first clothing boutique on Madison Avenue in 1974. Elie Tahari knitwear showcases the label's trademark unassuming elegance. Lace insert boleros, draped jersey cardigans, and luxurious cashmere knits are some of the highlights from the latest collection.
