His-and-hers brass ID bracelet in a classic design. Each piece is hand-hammered, creating a unique surface. The name plate may be inscribed or worn as-is. Made in Oakland, California. Identification bracelets similar to these were issued to American soldiers dispatched during WWII. Soldiers in turn often commissioned "sweetheart bracelets" for loved ones they left behind. Jewellery designer Marisa Mason re-created this brass ID bracelet after one that her father used to wear. She begins by hand-carving the template on which each bracelet is hammered, one at a time. If desired, the bracelet can be inscribed, with a name, word, or motif. The luster of the material and the simplicity of design can also be worn well as it is. Use & Care: Continual wear will keep the brass in good shape. If it becomes tarnished, a household brass polish will revive the original tonal quality. Size: Small: 6.7 inches long x 0.3 inches wide (17 cm x 0.7 cm). Medium: 7.9 inches long x 0.4 inches wide (20 cm x 1 cm). Materials: Brass. Made in: U.S.A. Color: metallic
