Bloomingdales is a well-known and long-established American institution. It began in 1861 when Joseph and Lyman Bloomingdale started selling skirts on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The brothers added extra lines like women’s corsets and gents' accessories, breaking the retail mold in a time when stores specialized in only one trade. Steadily rising in popularity ever since, Bloomingdales is now an internationally renowned chain of up-market department stores, selling everything to dress you from the feet up and anything your home could ever need.
C By Bloomingdales is the store’s own luxury cashmere range. The line uses super-fine fabrics to produce extra-soft garments. The collection specializes in berets, scarves, sweaters and ponchos in block colors, stripes and patterns.
